X Japan

This was back in October but one of the biggest bands in the world had their first US tour and I got to see them... X Japan. A Japanese metal band that was popular through the 80-90's with their epic power ballads and their crazy hair. When one of their guitar players accidently died in the 90's a few crazy fans committed suicide in sorrow. The band recently got back together and have a new awesome guitarist. How could I not go see them? I've been a big fan of theirs for a long time and the hubby completely idolizes them. We had to go! They came to the Oakland Fox Theater on September 28th.

This is why we had to go. These guys can play classical instruments also and their power ballads are epic!

This is my actual video of the line outside the theater... You can hear me and my hubby talking about cheesy inane stuff.

The concert was so Awesome! The lead singer was wearing a black jacket with flashy rhinestones that you could see from the back row. He later changed into a white coat with feathers or fluffy fur? And my eyes were drawn all night to the Drummer Yoshiki. He was always acting so dramatic and I was always watching to see what he was going to do next.

My video of the concert actually is pretty bad but here's some footage I found on youtube.

Born to be free

Wow I can't believe I was actually there!
