I have been lacking in posts. I've been so busy with my daughter, family and working. But I do have a youtube channel! I upload videos of my daughter, my hubby singing and music! Go check it out.

Here's a youtube compilation of my wedding from May of 2010.
Me and my Hubby were on a tight budget during that time and I wished I had more $$ to spend on decorations and everything but my family really helped out a lot on cooking the food, and my sisters doing the table decor and arranging the flowers themselves. Plus my hubby's brother and friends helped on the music and playing the guitar as me and my father walked down the aisle. All a big thank you to my family & for their love and support during my wedding! And to everyone for helping to make it turn out beautiful!

X Japan
This was back in October but one of the biggest bands in the world had their first US tour and I got to see them... X Japan. A Japanese metal band that was popular through the 80-90's with their epic power ballads and their crazy hair. When one of their guitar players accidently died in the 90's a few crazy fans committed suicide in sorrow. The band recently got back together and have a new awesome guitarist. How could I not go see them? I've been a big fan of theirs for a long time and the hubby completely idolizes them. We had to go! They came to the Oakland Fox Theater on September 28th.
This is why we had to go. These guys can play classical instruments also and their power ballads are epic!
This is my actual video of the line outside the theater... You can hear me and my hubby talking about cheesy inane stuff.
The concert was so Awesome! The lead singer was wearing a black jacket with flashy rhinestones that you could see from the back row. He later changed into a white coat with feathers or fluffy fur? And my eyes were drawn all night to the Drummer Yoshiki. He was always acting so dramatic and I was always watching to see what he was going to do next.
My video of the concert actually is pretty bad but here's some footage I found on youtube.

Wow I can't believe I was actually there!

Hmong inspired beaded bracelets
When I first started beading I started with simple stringing. Then as I got better I tried more complicated projects like bead weaving and bead stitching.
My mother used to make me and my sisters sit down and do Hmong embroidery when we were little. She had a Hmong skirt that she was trying to finish and we helped her stitch a part of it. I remember the fabric roll was rolled up and appeared so long. The pattern was really intricate and I could not sit still long enough to do it so I was never really good at it! I don't know how the Hmong women had time for it back in the old country between cooking, farming and raising the kids!
I wanted to make a Hmong pattern inspired bracelet on my bead weaving loom. I used 3mm Japanese cube beads. The colors in real life are just so pretty and vibrant! I love Japanese beads. I once tried making one of these using the square stictch and it took forever! Thank goodness for the bead loom!

Hmong/Miao Punk
I love Pucca. One of my favorite characters is Ching. I drew a fan art pix of Ching wearing a Hmong Chinese outfit. She usually has a cute chicken on top of her head. In my picture she is wearing Miao Silver horns. Isn't she so cute?
I've been to too many Anime Conventions where people cosplay from their favorite Anime character to even cosplaying as a bowl of Ramen Noodle. One of my favorite looks is Visual Kei. Visual Kei is a style influenced by Japanese Rock/Punk bands. I wanted to take a picture that had a Hmong Punk look. I painted one of my old Miao hats and necklaces a bright pink. My older sister ripped up an old dress... we had Jessica and Angel model for us. They are wearing my reaver claws. My sister snapped a few shots and this is the outcome.
I plan on making my own Miao silver hat in the future. I have so many ideas on how I want it to look. It will definately be steam punk infulenced. It will be quite a project but I can't to see the outcome.
I usually dress up in a Miao outfit when selling the things I make at the Anime Conventions. It attracts people to the table. I am planning to wear the pink hat and necklace at the next one!

Apple Crepes!
When I was around 10 my older brother was a teenager and was taking Home Ec classes. He would always be coming home making all these recipes that my family had never eaten before. One day he made crepes. He said they were french and I thought he was so worldly. I still remember his crepes to this day.
I made some yummy apple crepes this morning and they turned out wonderful! These are very easy to make with simple ingrediants.
Ingrediants
For the crepes:
1 Cup Flour
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp vanilla (optional)
2 tbsp oil
For the apple filling:
2 apples
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
First I took the two apples and cored & peeled them. I then sliced them up thinly.
I love my handy red apple corer! It makes things so much easier.
Melt the 3 tbsp of butter in a sauce pan. Add the sugar and cinnamon. Toss
in the sliced apples and saute them until they are soft. Take off from heat and set aside.
Beat the eggs with the water, milk, flour & melted butter. Add the vanilla if you want. Beat
out the lumps.
Heat a 6 inch pan a little above medium. Add a little oil and ladle the crepe mixture in just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Let it brown a little and flip over.
Put crepe on a plate and add the apple filling on one half of the crepe.
Fold over the other half and you have a completed apple crepe!
For my crepes I doubled the crepe and apple recipe. I had some crepes left over and I spread nuttella on them and rolled them up! You can see the rolled up ones in the picture...
Eat them right away or save them for later heated in the microwave. Perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Welcome!
I've always loved doing artwork and crafts and so wanted to have a craft blog showing the stuff I make! I also have been cooking a lot lately too. I have never been the best of cooks but now that I am married I've been trying to make dishes that my husband will like. Hopefully I can post up tutorials of my crafts and cooking in the future.
I love making jewelry. Especially with beads. I love creating pretty things. One of the favorite parts for me about making jewelry is seeing other people wearing what I have created.
A couple of gothic beaded chokers.
I was obsessed with making mini tiaras for awhile and here is a bunch that I made out of beads and wire. Below were my first tries so they were a little lopsided and messy looking!
I did get a little better. Here is a picture of someone wearing one.
